Nine out of
the ten people who joined us for the photography holiday in Menorca
had already been to me for one-to-one tuition. John Hamshaw,
far right, was one of them. He improved yet again as the week went
along and captured some great shots including this atmospheric street
scene.

just don't come any keener that Gill Ferguson.
British Airways managed to deprive Gill of her luggage for three
days, but that didn't put her off, and she produced a great set
of images from her week in Menorca.

Brian
Derricott really was prepared to suffer for his art. That's
him far right in the gin factory in Mahon. He saw this lovely close
up of glasses waiting to be washed in a sink and decided to add
different colours. How? well by tasting a pink gin liqueur, a blue
one, a yellow one... and so on. Thankfully, he survived the experienced
and produced this great picture

May Martin
proved to have a really good eye for composition and produced some
great pictures including this one of boats and lights taken at dusk.
Just don't let her tell you it was an accident! I love it.
"Thank you
for a truly wonderful holiday in Menorca... I am still clinging to
the memory of blue sea and white buildings... I had so much fun taking
the pictures, meeting the others and learning about the extra 'gismos'
I could purchase!... it is probably the first time for a very long
time that I have truly relaxed and enjoyed myself - I was very sad
to get back on the plane, but really grateful to have the memories
and experiences."

May Martin was
the only member of the group who had not already been to me for
coaching in Kirkcudbright

Diana
Beddington was the most senior member of the group, and what
a great sport she proved to be. We may even have converted her to
digital photography. Diana took the beautiful street scene, far right,
on a borrowed digital compact. Well done, Diana it was a pleasure
having you with us.
